Hawaii Tech Works, an organization working toward advancing opportunities for local technologists and entrepreneurs, will present a Hawaii Island Demo Day New Business Showcase from 1-3:30 p.m. Saturday at ‘Imiloa Astronomy Center in Hilo.

The event will highlight some of Hawaii Island’s new, innovative companies. Meet the founders and learn about the growing community of entrepreneurs. The business showcase will begin with a brief meet-and-greet followed by opening remarks.

“Hear from community thought leaders on our island’s economic development and the role new business development plays,” said Demo Day organizer Don Kosak. “Afterwards, our entrepreneurs will take the stage and present their businesses. We’ll wrap up the afternoon with snacks and socialization.”

The event is sponsored by HTDC and HI Growth. Register at www.hitx/demoday. There is a small fee, which includes refreshments.
